As a certified teacher, Lia is passionate about the creative power of technology for the transformation of education. She brings many years of experience in the IT sector, where she develops successful global education programs in partnerships with educators geared to showcase the innovative use of technology for new ways of learning. Currently, Lia is the Director of Innovative Education Strategies for Microsoft Canada and is the Canadian lead for the Partners in Learning program http://www.microsoft.com/education/pil/partnersInLearning.aspx, a MSFT/UNESCO partnership to transform schools for 21st century learning around the world. Lia has worked in various Ontario government ministries and in the Premier’s Office. She also spent 12 years working in film development and production in both Toronto and Los Angeles. |
